On the course:

• Sneakers or hiking boots are required.  Heels, crocs, or any type of open toed shoes are not permitted
• Jewelry is not permitted. This includes dangling earrings, necklaces, and bracelets 
• Long hair must be tied back
• Harness and safety equipment must be worn at all times while on the course; please wear clothing that a harness can easily and securely fit over
• Athletic clothing or hiking style clothing is recommended
• Ball caps, beanies, or bandanas are optional
• Dress according to the weather; a rain jacket or coat can be worn over your harness

CLOSED TOE SHOES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IN ALL AREAS OF THE PARK  

Tree Trekkers is designed to be an adventure for all people and abilities.

• Recommended for ages 7+
• 4-7 yr olds must be accompained by an adult climber 18 yrs or older
• Participants must weigh between 30-250lbs and properly fit in our harnesses
• All participants must be of sound body and mind
• If you are pregnant, have heart issues, or a serious health problem, please contact your doctor before climbing
• All participants and spectators must sign a waiver to remain on the property

We HIGHLY recommend making a reservation online through our website. Booking in advance ensures you will have a spot at the date and time you select. Weekends and holidays are always busy and spots fill up fast. You will also need to fill out a waiver when you book. By booking and filling out your waivers online you will have a much speedier check in process at the park. 

YES.  All persons on the property are required to sign a waiver.  You can sign your waiver ahead of time or at the park during check in.  It is highly recommended you sign your waiver in advance.  If you are part of a group please go to your confirmation email and click the group waiver management link  so your waiver will be attached to the group you are with.  Group leaders can use the group waiver management link to assign  waivers to climbers and nonparticipants.  This link can also be used to track who has and has not signed waivers in your group.

There are 2 ways to redeem your gift certificates and vouchers:

No.  Gift Certificates are valid for 1 year from purchase date, that gives you 365 days to come visit us.  You can redeem a ticket time past your expiration date.  For example if my gift certificate expires 2/20/22 I can still redeem it for 5/5/22 as long as I redeem it before the expiration.  You will not be able to redeem your gift certificate if is past its expiration date and not extensions or exceptions can be made.

 NO, you have ventured out of the city and into the woodlands where parking is free! 

Yes.  There is no fee for spectators, however, spectators are required to check in at the front office and sign a waiver.  There is even free wifi.  We have several picnic pavilions and observation areas with excellent views of the course, as well as walking trails under the course.  Don’t forget your camera as we encourage everyone to capture the magic above! Please feel free to post pictures to our Facebook and Instagram pages. We love seeing you having a good time.  #ifoundbigfoot

Please leave all valuables at home or store them safely in your locked vehicle.  We do have a key keeper available for your convenience.    Tree Trekkers is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

 You may wish to bring:

• Something to drink and maybe a snack.  We do have pavilions if you wish to bring a picnic lunch. We have light concessions for sale. 
• Optional items: sunscreen, bug spray, a hand towel, gloves, and hat 
• Cell phones are allowed, however, at participant risk.  A fanny pack or zipper pocket are recommended for safe keeping.  

• For individuals, we require a 1 week advance cancellation for full refund.    If you cancel  less that a week out, we are happy to reschedule your visit at no charge or credit your account.
• For group reservations of 10 or more climbers, we require a %50 deposit at time of booking. If you cancel your reservation more than a week in advance we will refund your deposit, less than a week it becomes an account credit you can use anytime and never expires.  We require a 24-hour advance notice to reschedule your visit.  Rescheduling is always free.
• No shows will not be refunded or rescheduled.  

We reserve the right to close the course due to inclement weather.  If we are experiencing high winds,  thunderstorms, heavy rain, or a high heat index we will close the course.  If we make the call to close the course before your reservation we will notify you and offer a rain voucher or refund.  If the course closes during your climb we will provide you with a rain voucher to come back at a future date.  If the park is open and you decide you'd like to cancel due to weather we will reschedule your reservation free of charge or offer you an account credit to be used at a future date.

We use the Weather Channel for our weather information.

We do have several picnic pavilions and picnic tables throughout the park. These can be reserved, or they are first come first serve. You are allowed to bring your own chairs and tents.

We sell bottled water and prepackaged snacks.

On event weekends we will have Dougie's Dogs, a small BBQ concession stand.

You are welcome to bring any outside food or drink. Il'fornos pizza delivers to the park.

We recommend swimming pool rules for this-don't eat heavy meals at least 30 minutes before your activity.  We recommend eating small light snacks before and during your climb as we want you to keep your energy levels up; we recommend eating larger heavier meals after your climb.  Please remember to stay hydrated before, during, and after your climb.

Service Animals only.  There are plenty of parks in the Frederick area that allow dogs. Ballenger Creek Park has 2 dog parks and Baker Park allows you to take your furry friend anywhere as long as he or she is leashed.
